STATUS : CLOSED
Currently on hiatus for the month of July!

Casual hobbyist who sometimes takes coin in exhange for goods and services. For commission inquiries, please check the set pricing and quoted pricing pages respectively! To contact me for any other questions you might have that are not covered in my terms of service or here on my carrd, you can reach me via @azwald on discord, or at my email, [email protected].

Set Pricing

These are my current set price points with examples! As of 10/24/23, I'm only listing a few options because I'm either lacking in recent examples of a specific style of commission, or would just prefer to have more references until I'm comfortable listing them. If there's something in particular you would like me to reference, like an older commission, or a specific piece you like elements of, please refer to my quoted pricing page above! If any of the styles listed on this page are something you're interested in requesting, please check my TOS + FAQ and fill out this google form!

Chibi Commissions

TypeBase Price+1 Character
Fully Rendered$105 USD+$70 USD
Rough Render$45 USD+$25 USD

Props, scene elements, etc encouraged!
these may cost more depending on the complexity, but I'll inform you if so beforehand.
To note: The rough version of these CAN be adjusted as well, but with these particular examples I went through a couple revisions. But for the fact that the only major difference between these roughs and the color sketches is the stylization, the price is the same.

Colored Sketches

Props, scene elements, etc encouraged!
these may cost more depending on the complexity, but I'll inform you if so beforehand.

TypeBase Price+1 Character
Fullbody$35 USD+$20 USD
Halfbody$20 USD+$15 USD

Quoted Prices

What is a quoted price, and how is it different from my set pricing?

A quote usually entails an estimated price of a given project or commission, depending on the details and conditions provided. For me, this means I'm open to discussing projects or options I haven't explicitly listed on my set pricing page, (I.E. If you would like me to reference a specific work of mine, or if you'd like me to draw a scene, etc.) and once I have assessed how much I'd be willing to do given your budget we can discuss further. With my set pricing, it works a bit more like a menu you can choose from with limited options. This also extends to contracting me for longer term projects, such as drawing sprites or similar, which I am open to, but am not interested in being hired fulltime currently. If this is something you're interested in requesting, please check my TOS + FAQ and fill out this google form! There's a separate google form listed on my set pricing page, but if you aren't sure if you should fill that or this one, feel free to use the above form as a catchall.

Terms of Service

By commissioning me, you agree to the following:
I, the artist . . .

  • Maintain the rights to post my work in any form.

  • Maintain the right to post commissions to my social media for advertising, but will refrain from posting on request.

  • Maintain the right to turn down any commission.

  • Maintain the right to cancel a commission if I feel uncomfortable continuing. (In this case, a refund will be issued.)

You, the commissioner . . .

  • May NOT use my art for ANY artificial intelligence (AI) generative related project. This includes unfinished sketches or progress checks I send you while working, even if you cancel your commission and are refunded.

  • May NOT reprint your commission for a profit unless discussed prior.

  • MAY print your commission for personal use.

  • May edit, crop, and resize the art I give you. HOWEVER, I require you still credit me for the piece if you're posting it in this edited or cropped form.

  • May post the work to your own website/social media, but should credit or link back to me.

  • May request small edits and corrections to the piece as I work on it. Larger edits and redrawing past the sketching phase will incur a fee depending on the change, ranging from 10 - 30 USD. (I.E. asking that I change the pose significantly, or change an item of clothing to something completely different, etc. This is in the case that I have mostly finished something, and will need to discard a significant amount of work that has already been done.)

DO'S . . .

  • Furries, animals, and general anthropomorphic characters

  • OCs, fanart, and real people (Under the condition that it is you or someone you know)

  • Ship / couple art

  • Accessories + props

  • Light gore or blood is OK

DON'TS . . .

  • NSFW

  • Mechas and heavy machinery - metal prosthetics and similar are OK!

  • Anything that promotes hate or discrimination under any circumstances (I.E. racist or homophobic art)

  • Political art

PAYMENT AND REFUNDS

  • Payment is via paypal.me OR paypal invoices, when requested

  • Work will only begin once I have confirmed that your payment was recieved

  • REFUND POLICY: I will refund you fully before finishing a secondary sketch (after the initial sketch that is free of charge before any payment), but past the secondary sketch I will only refund 75-50% of the given payment, depending how far along I have gotten with your commission. If I have fully finished working on your piece, I will not issue any refund.

What should I expect when I commission you?

Typically, when you commission me I will first work on a initial sketch and confirm with you BEFORE asking for payment. This is insurance for you, as the client, so you know you're actually paying for something you want. Once we've confirmed the details, I'll give you a paypal.me link for the full payment of your commission.Once the payment has gone through, I will confirm with you that I've recieved it and get to work on your commission as soon as I'm available to, and I'll try and give you a rough estimate of a turnaround time depending on my current schedule.I will also update you periodically with progress checks of your piece, and will ask to confirm with you before continuing past certain stages (Such as after a secondary sketch, or rough coloring, etc,) so please keep an eye out!As an extra note, I keep my working hours strictly to the weekdays so when I say I will get something to you within the week, this excludes Saturday and Sunday (Unless I have the time to work over the weekend, but this is a case by case basis.)

WHERE AND HOW TO ORDER

You can order a commission from me by (preferrably) using the google form links on my set pricing page or my quoted pricing page. Both are different forms, depending on what you would like to request, so please pay attention to which you're using!

ADDITIONALLY,
you can contact me directly @azwald on discord, by email at [email protected], or @sunkiisu on twitter & tumblr. However, I will respond slower to commission inquiries in those places, as I will be checking my forms most often.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When are your commissions open again?
This all depends, but usually I like to list them as open or closed here on the home page of this site, in my twitter display name, or on my bio on discord.
Can I reserve a slot for the future?
While technically it is first come first serve, if you ask I will gladly give you a heads up in advance to when I plan to reopen slots! I have considered making a waitlist, but I'm unsure if people would be interested.
What do you use to draw?
I use clip studio paint for all of my art! As for my current tablet, I use the HUION Kamvas Pro 16.
What are your brush settings?
I actually don't use a lot of brushes outside of the default clip studio brushes. I tend to use the design pencil a lot!
Do you do requests / trades / collaborations?
I don't do requests unless I ask for them specifically, but I will trade or collaborate with mutuals and friends!
Can I use or repost your art / fanart?
If the art in question is a commission you may NOT repost it without permission from the person who commissioned it, the same goes for using it as an icon or banner, etc.
As for non-commissions, I require that you ask my permission, and always credit and link back to me. I do have a variety of socials, but don't always post to all of them - If I have a piece available on a platform for you to retweet / reblog / etc, I will let you know when you ask!Do you have any tutorials or references I can use?
I don't currently have any tutorials or references that I have put together, or at least none I consider clean enough to post somewhere particular, but if you have something specific you would like to ask me about when it comes to my art, or pointers, I can do my best to answer!

Examples

Currently, I have two folders of commission examples that you can browse!Check here for a rough portfolio, and here for a broader folder of examples of past commissions, sketches, and other miscellaneous pieces I couldn't fit into the first. (But still liked. I'd recommend browsing the first for a brief overview!)Feel free to also browse any of my listed social media for art that I have previously posted. Thank you!
